IT’S A BOY AND A GIRL! November 13 2014

Yes, we found out the sex of our twin babies at the 20 week scan, and what wonderful news, we are having a boy and a girl! Now I can start researching baby names and decide on the theme for their room.

To find a name for your darling children that will work when they are the cutest newborns but also once they have grown up to be strong, opinionated adults is no mean feat, as anyone who have done this before will probably testify. If you are not a single parent you also have to find names that you and your partner agree on – HOW WILL WE DO THIS? Not to mention opinions from grand parents and other family members that all feel they should be immortalised by naming our tiny babies after them.

We have in the meantime decided to sell our house (which we love) to move to a bigger house with a garden and space for the twins to grow up. All very exciting, except for the fact that time is running out, and we need to sell our house and buy a new one, as well as move before the twins arrive (probably somewhere in February!) But it also means I can choose the perfect house to raise my twin babies, and decorate it to fit them perfectly, which I am very excited to do.

I am not one for pink and blue really, so may go with a fresh colour like lime green that will work equally well for a boy and girl, combined with bright colour splashes of orange, red, blue etc. Sounds like a circus, I know, but I have seen some amazing baby rooms online recently that were really inspiring. Have a look at some of the rooms posted below – divine, right!

I would love to hear your ideas on the twin’s room, or to see what you have done with your own darling’s room – PLEASE, PLEASE, please post some pics for us on the Oh Divine Facebook Page! I think to set a reward for the best nursery photos we should have a competition – and you can win the wall decal of your choice from Oh Divine!

Hope you all enter XXX
